Direct Project

Description
Direct Project is a consensus-based community of stakeholders that develops specifications for a secure, scalable, standards-based way to establish universal health addressing and transport for participants (including providers, laboratories, hospitals, pharmacies and patients) to send encrypted health information directly to trusted recipients over the Internet. To assist implementers of these specifications, Direct Project also hosts the development of open-source, referenceable software implementations.
