About the National Forum on COVID-19 Vaccine

The National Forum on COVID-19 Vaccine is a virtual event that will unite representatives from across the US government, with tribal, state, local, and territorial leaders and representatives from public health, healthcare systems, national and community-based non-governmental organizations, education, private industry, unions, and faith-based organizations. All have a role in supporting COVID-19 vaccination.
The Forum aims to promote the most effective strategies to build trust and confidence in COVID-19 vaccines, use data to optimize vaccine implementation, and provide participants with practical information for increasing vaccine access in communities nationwide, especially for persons at increased risk of COVID-19 disease and those who may face barriers to vaccination.
The National Forum on COVID-19 Vaccine will convene people from across the country who are part of vaccination efforts to
- Advance the goals of the National Strategy for the COVID-19 Response and Pandemic Preparednesspdf iconexternal icon
- Ensure information is exchanged about innovative strategies and promising practices to promote effective and equitable vaccine administration
- Use data to drive vaccine implementation and respond to gaps
- Increase expertise and respond to states’ and jurisdictions’ needs for practical resources on how to best administer vaccine equitably, safely, and quickly to as many people as possible in communities across the country
Who Should Attend?
The Forum is focused on providing information on promising practices and practical tools to inform vaccine implementation in communities across the country. This virtual event will bring together practitioners with those who can champion vaccine uptake in all communities.
Practitioners include representatives of organizations focused on vaccine implementation in communities from:
- State, tribal, local, and territorial public health departments
- Healthcare system providers and administrators and their national affiliate organizations
- Pharmacies
- Medical and public health academic institutions
- Community-based health service organizations
Champions include leaders at every level of
- Government
- Faith-based organizations
- Labor associations
- Private sector
- Media
- Education
- Social and civic organizations
Informing vaccine implementation in communities
Offering three days of information geared toward practitioners responsible for ensuring vaccination strategies are implemented, the Forum will feature national, state, tribal, community, and private sector experts. Each day will include the following session types:
- Promising Practice Plenaries: Sessions open to the broader public that will share critical scientific information, engaging US government leaders, and showcasing promising real-world practices from different communities. Each day will begin with an opening plenary to highlight promising practices across three key topic areas: building trust and vaccine confidence, data to drive vaccine implementation, and optimizing and maximizing equitable vaccine access.
- Practitioner Town Halls: Concurrent sessions intended to provide practitioners the opportunity to engage with subject matter experts and exchange information on how to apply lessons learned in vaccine implementation. Town Halls will be limited in size.
