Abstract:
Will provide information about:
- Race/Ethnicity in Real World Data, focusing on collection and reporting quality: Without accurate and consistent race and ethnicity RWD we cannot study the different experiences of racial and ethnic groups, the impact of disease on these groups, and differences in access to care or response to treatment.
- Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) – in COVID-19 we have noticed racial/ethnic disparities in healthcare access and treatment modalities. We are currently pursuing a collaboration with VA on Presidential initiative of Test-to-Treat of COVID-19 infections.
- The FDA Office of Minority Health and Health (OMHHE) including efforts to advance health equity through outreach, communication, research, and policy for racial and ethnic minority and tribal populations.
- An overview of OMHHE research collaborations to enhance equitable data efforts including projects on the use of real world data to generate real world evidence.
