FDA Drug Topics: Development and U.S. Regulation of Preventative Vaccines – September 27, 2022

FDA’s Division of Drug Information in the Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER) is excited to present a series of educational webinars targeting the needs of all health care professionals and students, including physicians, physician assistants, nurses, pharmacists, and pharmacy technicians. Interact with FDA staff from a variety of divisions and learn more about the FDA and drug regulation!

On Tuesday, September 27, 2022, CDER's Office of Communication, Division of Drug Information (DDI) will host a webinar titled: FDA Drug Topics: Development and U.S. Regulation of Preventative Vaccines. This webinar will provide an overview of the development and federal regulations for vaccines in the United States. We will discuss key statutes that grants the Food and Drug Administration authority to regulate vaccines, precipitating historical events, and current regulatory requirements for vaccine licensure and marketing approval. The basic vaccine development process and key regulatory milestones will also be covered.
