Biography
Dr. Megan Miller is a Staff Fellow-Microbiologist in the Veterinary Laboratory Investigation and Response Network (Vet-LIRN). She received her PhD in microbiology from Colorado State University and joined the FDA in 2022. Her role primarily supports the COVID-19/SARS-CoV-2 capacity building program as her expertise is viral diseases.
Research
Dr. Miller’s work focuses on several areas, including:
- Understanding the impact of viral diseases on human and animal health, from a One Health perspective.
- Continued effective assays for SARS-CoV-2 detection in vet diagnostic laboratories.
- Expanding the use of new methods for COVID-19 diagnostics and testing in animals.
