OMHHE’s Enhance Equity Initiative Funding Opportunities enables OMHHE to advance minority health and health equity focused regulatory science research by engaging across a broad range of stakeholders, including academia, minority-serving institutions, government agencies, and non-profit organizations.

As part of OMHHE’s Enhance Equity Initiative, OMHHE is announcing a new Health Equity Innovation Award funding opportunity: Racial & Ethnic Minority Acceleration Consortium for Health Equity (REACH) (U01). The purpose of this funding opportunity announcement (FOA) is to solicit applications from diverse institutions to participate in a consortium that will consist of multiple cooperative agreement recipients that will strengthen and advance minority health and health equity focused research, outreach, and communications.
The recipients will also support the training and mentoring of diverse students, fellows, and/or researchers. FDA OMHHE intends to fund up to $3,000,000 in fiscal year 2023 in support of this cooperative agreement program. It is anticipated that up to (6) awards will be made, not to exceed $500,000 in total costs (direct and indirect) per award. Applications are due April 6, 2023, by 11:59 PM Eastern Time.
