MQSA Inspection Billing Invoice Process Going Electronic

Effective April 22, 2021, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) User Fee Program will begin sending electronic inspection fee invoices via email to mammography facilities after their annual inspection. The new billing process will allow online payments, however only full payments will be accepted online. The FDA’s preferred payment method is online using an electronic check or Automated Clearing House (ACH). Credit Card payments (Discover, VISA, MasterCard, or American Express) are accepted for amounts less than $25,000. For more details related to where to make online payments, alternative methods of payment, governmental entity status, and nonpayment of the inspection fee, please see your MQSA Facility Invoice.

MQSA inspectors will collect and confirm each facility’s billing contact email address during your next annual inspection. It is imperative that the correct billing contact email address is provided to the inspectors to ensure that MQSA billing invoices are received by facilities.

Facilities with questions regarding facility invoice payments must contact [email protected].

All MQSA inspection-related questions can still be directed to the MQSA Facility Hotline at 1-800-838-7715.
