Environmental Impact Evaluation Process

Environmental review process: If a proposed action cannot be categorically excluded because it does not meet the criteria of the categorical exclusion or there are extraordinary circumstances an environmental assessment (EA) is needed. If based on the EA it is determined that there are no significant impacts or if risk mitigations can be implemented a finding of no significant impact can be prepared. If there are significant impacts an environmental impact statement and record of decision will be necessary.
