Description of Duties

  • Identifies project activities or situations that may adversely impact project plans.
  • Advises supervisor and senior management on recommended solutions to administrative conflicts or problems.
  • Provides immediate staff assistance to the supervisor on a variety of confidential and sensitive matters involving operations.
  • Performs research and consolidates information from various offices.

Qualifications

GS-09: At least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-07 in the Federal service, that included providing project status reports of progress, findings, and/or conclusions; maintaining a correspondence system or method to ensure timely processing of inquiries; and planning and providing administrative and logistical support for meetings, conferences, workshops, etc.; OR a master's or equivalent graduate degree or two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related; OR a combination of the required experience and education for this grade level.

  • GS-9

Geographical Location

Project Specialists are located at HQ (suburban Washington, D.C.) and in facilities throughout the U.S.
