European Medicines Agency (EMA): The European Medicines Agency (EMA) is a decentralised body of the European Union, located in Amsterdam. Its main responsibility is the protection and promotion of public and animal health, through the evaluation and supervision of medicines for human and veterinary use.

Veterinary Medicines Directorate (VMD): is the responsible, safe and effective use of veterinary medicinal products. VMD aims to protect public health, animal health and the environment and promote animal welfare by assuring the safety, quality and efficacy of veterinary medicines in the UK.

Health Canada – Veterinary Drugs Directorate (HC): Health Canada is responsible for protecting human and animal health and the safety of Canada's food supply. Through the Veterinary Drugs Directorate (VDD), Health Canada evaluates and monitors the safety, quality and effectiveness, sets standards and promotes the prudent use of veterinary drugs administered to food-producing and companion animals.

International Cooperation on Harmonization of Technical Requirements for Registration of Veterinary Medicinal Products (VICH):  VICH, officially launched in April 1996, is a trilateral (EU-Japan-USA) program aimed at harmonizing technical requirements for veterinary product registration. The initiative to begin the harmonization process came in 1983 when the first International Technical Consultation on Veterinary Drug Registration (ITCVDR) was held. Since then a series of government and industry initiatives have been developed, culminating in the formation of the VICH.

World Health Organization (WHO): WHO is the directing and coordinating authority for health within the United Nations system. It is responsible for providing leadership on global health matters, shaping the health research agenda, setting norms and standards, articulating evidence-based policy options, providing technical support to countries and monitoring and assessing health trends. In the 21st century, health is a shared responsibility, involving equitable access to essential care and collective defense against transnational threats.

Pan American Health Organization (PAHO): The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) is an international public health agency with more than 100 years of experience in working to improve health and living standards of the countries of the Americas. It serves as the specialized organization for health of the Inter-American System. It also serves as the Regional Office for the Americas of the World Health Organization and enjoys international recognition as part of the United Nations system.

CODEX ALIMENTARIUS: The Codex Alimentarius Commission was created in 1963 by FAO and WHO to develop food standards, guidelines and related texts such as codes of practice under the Joint FAO/WHO Food Standards Program. The main purposes of this Program are protecting health of the consumers and ensuring fair trade practices in the food trade, and promoting coordination of all food standards work undertaken by international governmental and non-governmental organizations.

WORLD ORGANIZATION for ANIMAL HEALTH (OIE): The need to fight animal diseases at global level led to the creation of the Office International des Epizooties through the international Agreement signed on January 25th 1924. In May 2003 the Office became the World Organization for Animal Health but kept its historical acronym OIE. The OIE is the intergovernmental organization responsible for improving animal health worldwide. It is recognized as a reference organization by the World Trade Organization (WTO) and in 2011 had a total of 178 Member Countries. The OIE maintains permanent relations with 45 other international and regional organizations and has Regional and sub-regional Offices on every continent. 

COMMITTEE OF THE AMERICAS FOR THE HARMONISATION OF THE REGISTRATION AND CONTROL OF VETERINARY MEDICINES (CAMEVET): The Committee of the Americas for the Harmonization of Registration and Control of Veterinary Medicines is created in the frame of the OIE Commission for the Americas. This Committee shall be constituted by the Representatives of the Official Services of the OIE Member countries and/or responsible for registration and control of Veterinary Medicines that show interest in participating in this Committee. The country member representative will have voice and vote. Any other specialist from the countries may participate in the meetings, too, but will have only voice. There is only one vote per country.

Japan Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF): Agriculture, forestry and fisheries industries, as an important sector of Japan's economic structure, contribute outstandingly to the development of national economy and stabilization of national life through their role of providing stable supply of foods indispensable to our daily life. The Ministry comprehensively undertakes administration related to agricultural, forestry and fisheries products, covering from production to consumption and also to rural development and promotion of the welfare of rural inhabitants with a view to achieving stable supply of food, sound development of the agriculture, forestry and fisheries industries and upgrading of the welfare of rural inhabitants.
