Enhancing Quality Using the Inspection Program (EQUIP)

The Division of Mammography Quality Standards activated the citations for the Enhancing Quality Using the Inspection Program (EQUIP) questions in the MQSA inspection software on March 2, 2018. We remind facilities that this will be the first MQSA inspection where the EQUIP citations will be active, and in preparation for the inspection, facilities should ensure that the LIP will be present (in person or by telephone) to discuss EQUIP matters with the inspector, or that the signed and dated LIP attestation is available to present to the inspector at the time of the on-site inspection.
