The Food and Drug Administration, Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research; and the National Institutes of Health, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases are announcing a public workshop entitled “Science and Regulation of Bacteriophage Therapy.” The purpose of the public workshop is to exchange information with the medical and scientific community about the regulatory and scientific issues associated with bacteriophage therapy.

This will be a free, virtual, three-day workshop featuring speakers from government, academia, and industry. Several informative breakout sessions will cover topics such as single-patient INDs, NIAID funding mechanisms, and clinical trials.
