Division of Non-Prescription Drugs and Health Fraud

The Division of Non-Prescription Drugs and Health Fraud (DNPDHF) directs field inspections and investigations and recommends, directs and/or coordinates case development and compliance actions related to both fraudulent drug products and OTC drug products.  In addition, DNPDF provides enforcement and litigation support and guidance relating to these products.   

DNPDHF uses risk-based assessments to identify and prioritize fraudulent and OTC drug products for regulatory action and develops compliance strategies to address violations.  DNPDHF also reviews and develops legislative proposals and implements regulations, policy documents, enforcement strategies, and outreach activities related to these drug products.
