Video for Pregnant Women and New Moms

Resources for You and Your Baby

Many pregnant women take medicines for health problems like diabetes, asthma, seizures, heartburn, and morning sickness. Other women take medicines before they realize they are pregnant. Not all medicines are safe to take when you are pregnant. Some medicines can harm your baby. The FDA and text4baby have created a video on using medicines when you are pregnant.

Watch the video to find out the helpful tips that the main character Kathy learns from her doctor and her best friend.

Get Involved!

Use the video to teach the women in your community about medicines and other important topics for pregnant women and new moms. Add the video to your website. Show it at a clinic, club meeting, or prenatal class in your area. You can also get free fact sheets, tear pads, and brochures to hand out at your event.

This video was developed through a collaboration between the FDA Office of Women’s Health and text4baby, a program jointly operated by ZERO TO THREE and Voxiva, Inc. Text4baby is the nation’s first free text message service that provides information to pregnant women and new moms on how to care for their health and that of their babies.
