Description of Duties
As a Computer Scientist, you will:

Inform senior officials on a variety of software assurance and computer science problems.

Implement and configure software packages that form the basis of the modern computing environment for scientific review of human drugs and therapeutic biologics.

Attend and participate in symposiums in the application of software requirements related to medical data.

Develop briefing papers providing the probable consequences of the various courses of action along with recommendations.
Qualifications
In order to qualify for the Computer Scientist, GS-1550-13, you must meet the following:
Basic Requirement
Bachelor's degree in computer science or bachelor's degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus.
Additional Requirements
Have one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal Service that has equipped me with the particular skills, knowledge, and ability to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience includes leading enterprise-wide implementations of commercially available software packages for master data management, workflow integration and/or business intelligence.
