About the Presentation

This presentation will share the success of the Center for Tobacco Products’ “The Real Cost” campaign over the past 10 years since its launch in 2014. Attendees will learn about the importance of public education campaigns in preventing youth tobacco use and will understand how campaigns can be used as a tool to rapidly respond to public health challenges.

Learning Objectives

After completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:

  • Describe the mission of the Center for Tobacco Products (CTP).
  • Discuss how CTP has continually adapted its public education program to address emerging public health issues and unique audience needs.
  • Discuss CTP’s public education efforts to-date, including the cigarette and e-cigarette prevention campaigns.
