GLHC – Statewide Community Health Record

Description
Healthcare providers and hospitals have struggled with obtaining patient records from other healthcare systems in a timely manner, especially real-time information during emergent situations. It is also difficult to obtain information when the patient is not forthright about where they have sought treatment. Great Lakes Health Connect (GLHC) in Grand Rapids, MI, partnered with Medicity and several acute care hospitals to provide near real-time patient information into via a statewide community health record, available to participating providers throughout Michigan.  Information includes:  ADT, Lab, Radiology and Transcribed Documents.

As of May 31, 2016 the Community Health Record holds records for over 6 million patients totaling over 288 million messages.
