Bi-Lateral and Multi-Lateral Engagement Efforts

Regardless of the health care system composition within a country or territory, many nations, including the US, face similar opportunities for strengthening their health care systems through advancing digital health efforts. Understanding this, ONC regularly engages with countries and territories through bi-lateral and multi-lateral meetings and engagements. These opportunities provide the US and their country and territory counterparts the ability to have direct, government-to-government discussions about digital health challenges, best practices, opportunities, and strategies for collaboration to strengthen digital health in all involved regions. These meetings have even allowed a foundation for mutually beneficial projects such as the US/HHS and EU/DG-CONNECT MOU.
