Program Overview

Spokane Regional Health District is one of the largest health districts within Washington state, providing a wide range of challenging and diverse positions for about 250 employees. The Human Resources program oversees a variety of functions, including:

  • Managing employee benefit programs
  • Classifying jobs and determining compensation levels
  • Identifying and selecting qualified applicants to join the organization
  • Developing our workforce
  • Ensuring legal compliance to employment laws
  • Developing and administering performance management plans

Tobacco Statement

Immunization Requirements

It is an expectation of the health district that staff be properly immunized against vaccine-preventable diseases, which they may be exposed to in the course of their duties or for which they may potentially expose clients.

As a condition of employment, individuals hired for certain positions are requested to show proof of immunity or vaccination for several diseases (see Immunization Policy). New employees may sign a declination of immunizations based on medical, religious, or philosophical objections. New employees are responsible for all costs associated with obtaining immunizations.
