The Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) of Spokane County is part of the national network of MRC volunteers. Spokane County MRC volunteers support and improve the health and safety of their communities and play an active role during emergency preparedness and response efforts, providing added capacity for medical workers and first responders when needed. The Medical Reserve Corps of Spokane County carries out its goals through partnerships with several community organizations and agencies.
Volunteers engage in local health-related programs including vaccination clinics, suicide prevention programs, personal and family preparedness education, and community events like Bloomsday. Their efforts help build community resilience and collaboration. MRC volunteers are an essential supplement to our community’s existing emergency medical response capabilities and public health infrastructure.
